High crop prices and enough rain to get by helped Minnesota farmers to a huge year in 2012, asnet farm income rose 50 percent to $297,000 per farm, according to a new statewide survey released Thursday.

Southeastern Minnesota farmers likewise did well, with $269,453 in net farm income in 2012, up from $212,765 in 2011, said the survey from Minnesota Colleges and Universities and University of Minnesota Extension.
