Authorities are investigating the death of a 31-year-old Rochester man, whom they believe suffered a heroin overdose.

Officers responded about 7 a.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 1900 block of 42nd Street Northwest for a call of an unresponsive man, according to the Rochester police report.

CPR was administered by police, the report said, but Gold Cross Ambulance personnel pronounced him dead.

Results of toxicology tests aren't expected for several weeks, said Lt. Casey Moilanen.
