LEWISTON — A two-car crash Thursday morning just east of Lewiston injured two people and closed U.S. 14 for about 90 minutes, officials said.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a westbound van driven by 89-year-old Robert C. Swanson, of Lewiston, crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, where it sideswiped a car driven by Lisa R. Stephan, 47, of Altura.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, the report says. They were taken to Winona Health for treatment of what the state patrol called non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash, which was reported at 11:12 a.m., shut down the highway. It reopened at 12:40 p.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
