The Olmsted Medical Center Auxiliary recently presented two children of OMC employees with inaugural Julia Bombach Memorial Scholarship awards of $1,000 each.

Scholarship recipients were Jennifer Guibert, a graduate of Century, and Kayla Koranda, a graduate of Lourdes. Named for the OMC Auxiliary's founding volunteer, the Julia Bombach Memorial Scholarship was created to support students studying to enter health care-related careers.

Formed in 1955, the OMC Auxiliary provides a variety of programs in support of OMC patients and their families, including a sewing group, serving beverages and muffins, operating the gift shop at OMC's Hospital, providing hand massage therapy for hospital inpatients and maintaining OMC's Still Missed Memorial Garden.
