A new report shows Minnesota's property taxes went down this year for the first time in more than a decade but by a lot less than had been predicted.

Minnesota property taxes dropped by $8 million this year, according to a Minnesota Department of Revenue report. That is the first time property taxes have decreased in 12 years. In prior years, the average yearly increase was $332 million.
