Watch Corzine vs Christie.
They are going to Frankenize it.
They will recount and recount until they have their votes.
Reports of ACORN being busy busy busy little squirrels with absentee ballots:

I think there are way too many people making waaaaaay too much out of these three elections.
Both parties are divided right now and instead of each trying to “soul search” they should realize that Americans are sick of both of them and would like to see parties that reflect their own values.

The dropping out of the Moderate Republican candidate in NY-23 goes to show that the far right of the Neo-Conservative wing of the GOP does not and will not tolerate the middle ground when it comes to Social issues. That could turn out to be a turn off come 2010.
IMHO, Republicans who have left the party and Independents may find it difficult to support candidates whose views do not coincide with their own, just might vote Democratic.
The more extreme the far Right of the GOP becomes, the more voters will support candidates who are more pragmatic be they just a bit left or right of center.

Give me a break, Mrs. C. The current Pelosi-Reid-La Bamba democratic party is a putrid (you-fill-in-the-blank)-ization of the commendable southern fiscal conservative, yet populist, Democratic party of old. (You know, the old party of Tim Penny, Zell Miller and the few brave ones who called it like it was recently.)
They both stink now and the only difference in my mind is the GOP leaves the “Tax” off of the “Tax and borrow and spend, relentlessly” party platform.

That is a good description.

Besides being today labeled the Party of NO, what does the GOP Platform have in it besides even more Tax Cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers and Corporations, abolishing Medicare and Social Security, while shrinking Government?
Anti-Abortion, Anti-Gay, and Pro-Gun Platforms. That’s about it.

Sister _C, if they WERE pro-abortion, pro-gay, and anti-gun there would be no difference between the parties.
May the RINO’s who support democrat agenda LEAVE ....ASAP.

Mrs_C, you are totally missing the point and going down the all-to-familiar path of “Well you guys are terrible because of this....”
I don’t know if you are that far left, but you use the “far left’s” description of the GOP to avoid how bad yet how similar the Democratic-Republican party is. (...and by the way, the facts about tax cuts vary substantially from the Democratic party soundbites...but that’s another debate)
Why get hung up on benign issues like abortion or marriage? They grab headlines but have very little influence on your own life. Gun rights are guaranteed in our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
If you don’t like that which is stated in those aforementioned documents, find someone more enlightened than Thomas Jefferson in this day and age to rewrite it. It won’t happen. Those freedoms are the very fabric of our nation and shredding them is akin to shredding the most successful experiment of government in recorded history.
Simply stated, you want people to get something for nothing. That’s not possible. Everything given to one party had to be taken from another party by force at the hand of the government. The tired old partisan rhetoric isn’t constructive to the argument because it lacks the basic necessity of honesty.
We may never get to the Utopian balance of free personal liberties and free market economics w/o exploiting or causing harm to one another, but I’d really like to see us try. I think that’s what our founders wanted.

“Thanks for the laughs..”
Abortion is funny?
Trashing the First and Second Amendments is funny?
Well, I guess anyone who thinks Franken’s filthy jokes are funny would also think abortion is funny.

By the way, over 1,300,000 babies have been killed so far this year in the abortion mills. Is that really funny Mrs_C?
And the democrat party wants to take away guns????

After we as a nation hit rock bottom the conservatives will be there to rebuild our great nation. Screw the moderates and the left, self preseverance is the ticket.

Ron:
So if you can’t deny any of the things I wrote then you need to try to smart talk.
Sorry, you’ll have to study the democrat party handbook a little more.

Y’all gotta stop thinking in a partisan way and figure out how the United States is going to get out of the massive debt we have accumulated; how the children and grandchildren are going to provide for themselves—jobs and income, their health care, their retirement and make our country strong again.

Rochfan, you make good points...however, I don’t see how we can ever get out of this too many people in this country seem to want communism/socialism.

Just pointing out why you make us laugh on a daily basis!
That’s weird, I don’t recall reading a single story where someone from the government came to somebody’s house and took their gun. I don’t remember anybody talking about how a democrat came up to them and killed their baby. I don’t recall seeing an invitation by the democrats inviting illegal aliens to come on over! etc, etc, etc…
When you write ludicrous things, expect to get criticized…

Late polls say the odds are against R. Creigh Deeds, the Democratic state senator battling former Attorney General Bob McDonnell to hold the Virginia governorship that has been in Democratic hands for the past eight years. In 2008, Obama became the first Democrat to carry Virginia since Lyndon Johnson in 1964, riding a tide of votes from African-Americans, young people and urban precincts.
