Why would 0bomba turn down Chancellor Merkel’s invitation for the celebration?
The fall of the Berlin Wall represented freedom over totalitarianism and peace through strength. Our strength.
Why can’t 0boma be bothered to celebrate that; unless he finds fault with liberty over tyranny?

Atilla: I don’t think “the teleprompter” works on European 220 volt power.
Returning from the east a soldier at Checkpoint Charlie in the picture above would order everyone out of the car and he placed a small metal box with a red light on the roof. This was supposed to blink if there was a live body being smuuggled into the west. Local rumor said the box was just batteries and was theater only.
Usually took about a week for paperwork processing to pass into the east zone.

I understand a man on 5th ave nw Rochester stubbed his toe this morning.
Is that Obama’s fault too boy’s?
Since you both posted foolish negative comments about Obama, when the article doesn’t pertain to him at all?
Get a grip!

irish,
I guess 0bomba is too busy with those weekly cocktail parties for his White House staff. And too busy with his “date nights.”
He had no problem flying to Berlin when it was all about him.

Bwaahahahahahahaha hohoho.

Why should 0bama care about the advancement of freedom, about celebrating freedom over totalitarianism......
“when the article doesn’t pertain to him at all?”

Newt Gingrich is castigating President Obama for not going to Germany because of important business here at home. The Health Care Reform vote, the shootings at Ft. Hood, and other issues.
John castigated President Obama for pitching the IOC for the 2016 in the US because there was important business here at home needing attention.
You can’t have it both ways.

John Boener castigated Obama for trying to get the 2016 Olympics for the US because of important business here in the US needing attention.
Gingrich and Boener can’t have it both ways.

jared!
Haven’t you figured it out that seperating fact from fiction is not in the DNA?

jared: Did you want to share some insight or experience about Berlin? Maybe some pithy historical comment or comparison, something pertinent to the discussion or just play the troll again today?
Within 50’ of either side of the wall the differences from the vibrant, capitalist, glitzy west contrasted the drab, depressing, nanny state of the east where all life was controlled by the government.
To those looking to the government to wake them up in the morning and tuck them into bed at night this lecture has the potential to open some eyes about what this country is heading for under the current policies of government take over.

And what does any of your blathering have anything to do with Obama?
Nothing.
You moan and groan every comment, linking every manner of calamity to Obama, that was the point of my satirical comment.
You post foolish comments continually.
Either about Obama or personally attacking people.
Good Luck!

Ooohhhhh. Just imagine if Boooosh had refused to take part in the Berlin celebration.
Libbies would wail the cry heard round the world.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. She said:
[F]or me America seemed completely out of reach . . . then on the 9th of November 1989, the Berlin Wall fell.
And this border which had divided a nation, for decades, keeping people in two different worlds, was now open. And this is why for me, today is first and foremost a time to say THANK YOU....”

jared- your mom is calling. Time for a nappy change and bed. Leave the grownups, so we can talk.
Me thinks the Berlin wall falling was a real downer for Oboma’s puppet masters.

I think P-BO is snubbing the invitation because if I remember; when he gave the speech to the world in Berlin during his campaign in 2008, he wanted to give it at the Brandenburg Gate.
Apparently, the Germans refused his request, being at the time, he was not an official leader.
He ended up giving his speech at a location that was near the former Berlin Wall.
Obviously, the child is coming out in him again by refusing to go.
He needs to think less about himself and be more presidential.
