ALBERT LEA -- No one was injured but one person was arrested after a car and a train collided in Albert Lea.

The crash occurred about 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of Hawthorne Street and Ulstad Avenue, where the Union Pacific line intersects, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle was unoccupied when officers arrived, but they found a 38-year-old woman in the vicinity. She was arrested for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with an expired driver's license. The driver reportedly told officers she was able to get out of the vehicle prior to the crash.
