Rochester man injured in accident on U.S. 52

A 30-year-old Rochester man suffered head injuries when the pickup he was driving flipped along U.S. 52 near Oronoco.

Scott Kujak was taken by Mayo Clinic helicopter to Saint Marys Hospital. His injuries were described by the Minnesota State Patrol as serious, but not life-threatening.

Kujak was southbound in the left lane when his Ford Ranger left the highway, struck a guard rail, then went back onto the highway and flipped, according to a State Patrol report.

The accident was reported at 1:33 p.m. Kujak was alone in the pickup. The State Patrol report says that he had his seat belt fastened.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
