Sounds like Rochester’s school district could benefit from having Mr. Thompson as our man in charge..

There you go school board. You wouldn’t even have to do a national search, and look - he’s even involved in other aspects of the community.
And look at the criteria:
“Criteria for the award include: Support of office professionals, experience in education, personal contributions and achievements in education, and recommendation from the sponsoring association.”
Wow - imagine what it would be like to have a superintendent that supported the staff. I bet that could REALLY close the gap.

Someone on the Byron thread suggested a county wide superintendent and accompanying staff and cut out the millions in repetetive salary costs district to district.
I nominate Mr. Thompson.
Take a trip down fantasy lane for a moment Rochester, with dallemand gone and this man in charge.

The Minnesota Association of Educational Office Professional group must all be racists.
“Thompson was nominated by administrative assistant Sheila Gossman.”
Good choice Ms. Gossman. I wonder if any of the staff in Rochester nominated dallemand.
Mr. Thompson is active in the Stewartville Lions Club, Stewartville Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, United Way and the Rochester Area Math and Science Partnership.
dallemand is active in....?????

Dr. Thompson is a great guy, a true professional, and any district would benefit greatly to have him in charge of their educational system. That said, his poker skills and deer hunting abilities need a little tune up:-)

Do you mean it’s really possible to have a persn move up through the ranks and become superintendent? Someone should tell the members of the Rochester school board.
Dawg gone it. And here we went and searched all ver the country.

Administrative Assistant nominated him.
Does Stewartville have a five person cabinet with salaries in six figures???
Or does he get by with a administrative assistant?
He sounds like a good superintendent.

Come on he is involved with some company in Florida isn’t that close enough. Lets see 5 cabinet members and his salary thats a good start at 1 million dollar cut.
