Two men tried to get into the car of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant employee while he was making a bank deposit.

The incident occurred about 10:40 p.m. Thursday at Merchants Bank, 1600 Greenview Drive S.W.

The employee was dropping off the deposit bag when the two men came out of the dark and tried to get into one of the car's rear doors, said police Lt. Dan Muyres. The door was locked. The employee drove away and called police but was unable to give a good description of the men because it was so dark.

In August, a KFC manager was robbed at gunpoint at the same night deposit box. Three teenagers were charged with robbery in that case.
