Criminal charges have been dropped against a man accused of kidnapping a woman and sexually assaulting her several times last year.
Rick Jackson, lead attorney of the special prosecution unit of the Olmsted County Attorney's office, filed the dismissal Monday in the case of Ace Xai Chang, 33, of Rochester.
Chang was charged in September 2008 with kidnapping, three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of false imprisonment, all felonies. He also was charged with gross misdemeanor interference with a 911 emergency call.
Jackson said the entire complaint was being dismissed "in the interest of justice."
