The Volunteer Center at United Way of Olmsted County promotes community engagement by connecting individuals and groups in Southeastern Minnesota with rewarding volunteer opportunities. Festival of Trees

For the 24th year, the Festival of Trees/Celebration of Giving will benefit Hiawatha Homes. Opportunities abound for this event. There are pre-event opportunities on the Nov. 20, and 22-24. A variety of fun opportunities are available during the event, from Nov. 24-29. On Nov. 29, we will be tearing down and delivering trees. Prepared Food Item Donations for Thanksgiving Dinner

Please help us provide a memorable Thanksgiving Feast for the guests and caregivers staying at the Gift of Life during the Thanksgiving Holiday. This is a wonderful way to give to others during this holiday season. We are in need of a variety of prepared side dishes, desserts, vegetables, salads, and other assorted Thanksgiving goodies. Information Desk Volunteer

Offer assistance to visitors by answering general questions and help visitors find their way around Saint Marys Hospital. Call 255-5653 for more information or to volunteer with Saint Marys Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers.

Supplemental Food Shelf Workers

Would you like to make an immediate impact in your community? Channel One Food Shelf provides food for over 3,500 families in Olmsted County each month. Half of these are families with children. Do your part to eliminate hunger in your community by volunteering at our food shelf. We are looking for caring individuals to assist our clients with grocery selection, packing food, and stocking shelves. Spanish Interpreter

We are in need to a volunteer who speaks Spanish to assist the dental health clinic patients who do not speak English. We need the volunteer to help fill out forms and describe dental health needs. Call 529-0436 for more information or to volunteer with Children's Dental Health Services.
