Nelson, Zellmer hook up

BLOOMING PRAIRIE -- Cooper Nelson caught three touchdown passes from Luc Zellmer, and No. 1 Blooming Prairie rolled past No. 8 Wabasha-Kellogg in 1A quarterfinal play.

Zellmer threw scoring passes to Nelson on plays of 18, 9 and 3 yards. Nelson had four catches for 53 yards.

Zellmer finished 12-for-20 for 256 yards. He also had a 7-yard TD run.

Aaron Niles also scored three touchdowns for the Blossoms. He had scoring runs of 11 and 5 yards and added an 81-yard kickoff return for a score.

Jon Kraling had 79 yards rushing on just four carries for Blooming Prairie. The Blossoms (8-1) had 220 yards rushing and 256 passing.

Jordan Dick was 14-for-24 for 163 yards and two touchdowns for W-K. Zach Wolfe and Holden Hartert had TD catches.

The Bulldogs rushed for 117 yards and had 203 passing. Sam Sletten had 71 yards rushing.
