HARMONY -- Fillmore Central overcame a slow start to topple No. 5 Medford in 1A quarterfinal play.

On the opening kickoff, Fillmore Central fumbled and Jon Lambert returned the ball 32 yards for a touchdown. But that would be Medford's lone TD.

Fillmore Central (4-5) bounced back as quarterback Jayden Wilhelm had scoring runs of 2 and 1 yards in the second quarter.

Jordan Jarland had a 4-yard TD run and Dalton Woellert added a 6-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for No. 4 Fillmore Central. Jarland (12 carries) and Woellert (21 carries) both had 72 yards rushing. Matt Haugerud added 67 yards on 12 carries.

Fillmore Central had 303 yards, 269 on the ground.

Medford (4-5) was limited to 131 total yards, 97 rushing and 34 passing.
