No. 1 seed Caledonia ran and passed its way past No. 4 seed Lewiston-Altura en route to scoring a 35-14 win Saturday in the Section One, Class AA football semifinals.

Lonnie Hudson ran 11 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and receiver Isaac Fruechte had seven catches for 160 yards and a touchdown. The TD catch went for 84 yards.

Caledonia, which is unbeaten (10-0) and ranked No. 1 in state Class AA, led 28-6 at intermission.

The Warriors outgained the Cardinals 217-134 in rushing yards and 199-63 in passing yards.

L-A (5-5) was led by Trevor Ruhoff with 105 yards rushing on 19 carries. Receiver Travis Weaver had a touchdown catch of 22 yards.

Caledonia hosts No. 2 seed Zumbrota-Mazeppa in the section finals at 7 p.m. Friday.
