Krueger continues to be on a roll

11/3/2009 11:20:02 AM

Sue Krueger continued her tremendous start to this season, with 10 straight strikes to a 289 game as part of a 747 series.

Sue was already on the leader board with the top women's series of the season -- a 753 -- and three other series (704, 702, 684) that are all better than her top competitor.

Leading the charge for the men was Tommy Lofgren Jr., who rolled 12 straight for a perfect 300 and also top series for the week with a 770 series.

Three area bowlers tried to match Lofgren's perfect game, but came up just short. Jedidiah Burt had a nine count leave him one pin shy at 299. Right behind him were Alex Savarino and Mike Harding, each rolling eleven strikes in a row, but both settling for solid 298 games.

The Southeastern Minnesota High School bowling season will be having its conference roll-offs next Saturday at 1 p.m. in Austin. The winner will get an automatic bid to compete in the state championships

The 2009 Hall of Fame Induction for the SE Minnesota USBC will be Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Willow Creek Golf Course. Cost is $20.
