What is a football fan to do? There is no overdose of Brett Favre this week; the 7-1 Vikings have a bye week.
So let's take a look at the world of TV and radio sports on a Favreless-weekend.
• The Fox NFL Sunday crew will do their show this week from Afghanistan. Those traveling overseas are Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Jay Glazer.
The show expands to two hours and starts at 10 a.m.
Said Bradshaw: "We did a show a few years ago aboard the USS Harry S. Truman and it was the most incredible experience. To be there with our men and women of the military, the Navy and Secretary of Defense William Cohen was absolutely incredible. The viewers loved it, we loved and we're inspired just by being there."
The show airs from an undisclosed military base and comes three days before Veteran's Day.

• ESPN also has sports programming centered around Veteran's Day.
On Sunday, NFL Countdown will air the first TV interview with Marie Tillman, widow of former NFL player Pat Tillman who was killed in Afghanistan. She'll also appear live on Monday Night Countdown from Denver before the Steelers-Broncos game.
College GameDay, at 9 a.m. Saturday, will originate from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, site of the Army at Air Force game.
• The 2009-10 college basketball season tips off on the ESPN family of networks on Monday with an ESPNU tripleheader beginning at 6 p.m. with Isiah Thomas' first game as coach of Florida International at defending national champion North Carolina, followed by Syracuse hosting Albny and Murray State at No. 12 California. Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim is going for his 800th career victory.
• Bill Walton, an ESPN NBA analyst since the network's coverage of the NBA began in the 2002-03 season, has decided not to return. Walton missed nearly all of last season while recovering from back surgery.
"As I return after a grueling multiyear, life-threatening, life-changing ordeal with back problems, it is time to dedicate the rest of my life to service,'' Walton said. "It is great to be back in the game.''
• Responding to criticism over his drug use, Andre Agassi talks to Katie Couric on "60 Minutes'' Sunday. "Have some compassion, I needed help,'' he said. "60 Minutes'' airs at 6 p.m. on CBS. The former tennis great discusses his drug use, that depression and other aspects of his personal life.
• CBS will televise a mixed martial arts supercard "Strikeforce,'' at 8 p.m. Saturday. The main event is Fedor "The Last Emperor'' Emelianenko (30-1) going against Brett "The Grim'' Rogers (10-0). The card is live from the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
• The World Series on Fox averaged an average audience of 19.4 million viewers, making it the highest-rated and most-watched Series in five years (Red Sox vs. Cardinals).
• Sunday's Vikings-Packers game on Fox received a huge rating, with 29.8 million viewers, making it the network's second most-watched NFL Sunday telecast behind only the San Francisco and Dallas game in 1995 which was watched by 32.1 million.
• The 26th running of the 2009 Breeders' Cup from Santa Anita Park will feature 14 races through two days (nine hours) on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 today and Saturday.
• The NFL Network will televise eight NFL games starting next Thursday with the Bears at San Francisco.
Announcers this year at Bob Papa (play-by-play) and Matt Millen (analyst).
There'll be a game Thanksgiving night (New York Giants at Denver) and Christmas night (San Diego at Tennessee).
The network is not available on Charter Communications. No Vikings games are scheduled.
• NBC Sports will announce the 23-man roster for its 2010 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team during the network's telecast of the Jan. 1 WInter Classic (noon) at Fenway Park between the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers.
