BLOOMING PRAIRIE -- Dan Willert blocked a pair of extra points to help give Blooming Prairie a 21-20 win over Goodhue in the Section One, Class A championship game Friday night.
Willaert's second blocked extra point came in the fourth quarter, with Goodhue attempting to tie the game at 21-all.
Goodhue held a 14-7 halftime lead, but Blooming Prairie rallied to take a 21-14 lead. The Wildcats scored in the fourth quarter to pull within a point, but Willert's blocked point-after attempt proved to be the difference.
Jared Dicke, Brandon Hadler and Blayne Erie scored touchdowns for the Wildcats.
Justin Ingvalson scored a pair of receiving touchdowns, including the game-winner, for Blooming Prairie. Luc Zellmer scored the other Blossoms touchdown.
Blooming Prairie (10-1) moves on to face New Ulm Cathedral at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 at Rochester Regional Sports Stadium in the Class A state quarterfinals.
Goodhue ended its season at 7-4 overall.
