I like to see that coach Henderson is taking the responsibility.....but it’s not only because he didn’t prepare them for the game. His play calling was horrendous. You would think that after trying to run it up the middle 100 times and getting stuffed over and over....maybe you would try something different. And then when they dropped back to pass....they were going for a hail-mary almost every time. Not sure if he knows this, but it is possible to throw the ball 5-10 yards to continue a drive. Plus the fact that he had a injured player out on the field the whole time that didn’t look like he even wanted to play didn’t help the situation.

It’s pretty obvious you’re a parent who is having a hard time dealing with the fact that your kid is done playing football. Face the facts. Triton had a down year and were not nearly as talented as they have been the past 3 years. It has nothing to do with coaching. If you want to blame it on something maybe blame it on the work ethic of the team during the offseason. Hardly any of the players lifted weights hard or did any conditioning during the offseason and that showed. It was one of the biggest reasons why this Triton team was one of the slowest teams Triton has never had. About the playcalling: It’s pretty hard to do anything when the line can’t block. I think it’s funny how Jason Jenson said it was the best line Triton ever had and they were better this year than last. What a joke. The line was worthless. And about the injured player. Garrett Schaefer was BY FAR Triton’s best player this year and it wasn’t close. If Triton wanted a chance in this game he had to play injured or not. If the rest of the team wanted to win as much as Garrett did maybe they would still be playing. Also he was the only player on this team that had the speed to be a gamebreaker. Every team has down years and this was Triton’s year to be down.

Also, Henderson and his staff are some of the best coaches in the state and Triton would not be a perennial power without them. Without them this team would have been lucky to be .500.

Pack15....must be a staffer to be clouded that much. When you have a clue...maybe people will listen.

What do you mean by a staffer? A member of the coaching staff? NO.

“I really don’t think we saw this coming,” said Triton coach Don Henderson, whose program’s three-year reign as section champions was snapped. “(W-E-M) was stronger and faster than us.” That comment says it all. WEM was clearly more prepared than Triton. They had their game plan, and stuck to it. It almost seemed as though the Triton players were looking past WEM and into the next game already. They came out flat, and never got going. You can only put so much blame on a coach, he can only do so much. It’s the players that have to go out and get the job done and they failed to do so. Good luck to WEM in the 1st round of state against Caledonia.
