The Rochester Athletic Club will be sponsoring a benefit for Bethany Monson, the 7-month-old daughter of Kady and Karl Monson.

Bethany was diagnosed with two rare heart conditions that have been surgically repaired and will continue to need more surgeries. The benefit, which is from 6-8:45 p.m. Saturday at the RAC, is to help raise money for the Monson's current and future medical expenses.

At 6 p.m. will be a silent auction and social, at 7 p.m. tennis events for adults and juniors, and at 8:30 p.m. the silent auction closes, followed by the Monson family briefly speaking and door prizes being handed out.

Over 80 items will be auctioned off. They include a Maria Sharapova signed tennis racquet, a 2004 Minnesota Wild signed hockey stick, an authentic Brett Favre Vikings jersey, among other things.
