ANOTHER WIN FOR INDY

Indy is the fourth team in league history with 17 consecutive regular-season wins. New England did it twice -- winning a record 21 straight from 2006-08 and 18 in a row from 2003-04. Chicago won 17 straight from 1933-34.

STREAKS

New Orleans is 8-0 and off to the best start in franchise history. ... San Diego has won three in a row while the New York Giants have dropped four straight after a 5-0 start. ... New England's Tom Brady had his third straight game with more than 300 yards passing and team-record 27th of his career. ... The Colts' Dwight Freeney extended his streak of consecutive games with a sack to nine, breaking Robert Mathis' franchise record. The NFL record is 10. ... After starting the season 0-6, the Titans have won two in a row while San Francisco has lost four straight following a 3-1 start.

MILESTONES

Kurt Warner of the Cardinals tied a career high with five touchdown passes in Arizona's 41-21 win over Chicago. ... Randy Moss of the Patriots scored his 140th touchdown receiving, tying Terrell Owens for second place behind Jerry Rice's 197. ... Green Bay running back Ahman Green gained 45 yards rushing and has 8,208 yards rushing with the Packers, surpassing Hall of Famer Jim Taylor (8,207) for the most yards rushing in franchise history. ... The Colts' Jim Caldwell became the NFL's first rookie coach to start 8-0 since Potsy Clark in 1931. Peyton Manning tied Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton for fourth in career victories (125) and became the first player in league history to throw for 40,000 yards in one decade. Reggie Wayne moved past Hall of Famer Raymond Berry and into second on the Colts' career receptions list.

STATS

The Buccaneers got their first win of the season and also ended an overall 11-game losing streak with a 38-28 victory over the Green Bay Packers. ... The Cardinals improved to 4-0 on the road with a 41-21 win over the Bears. ... The Texans dropped to 1-14 all time against the Colts, including 0-8 in Indianapolis. ... The Bengals are 4-0 in division games after a 17-7 win over AFC North-rival Baltimore. ... Aaron Rodgers was sacked six times in the loss to Tampa Bay, hiking Green Bay's NFL-worst total to 37 in eight games. ... Tampa Bay cornerback Ronde Barber got his 13th career return touchdown on a blocked punt. Barber is tied for the third-most return touchdowns. He trails Deion Sanders (19) and Rod Woodson (17) for the most return touchdowns in NFL history.

SIDELINED

Running back Clinton Portis left the Washington Redskins' 31-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons after taking a blow to the head. Portis departed with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter after a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Thomas DeCoud. Portis was helped to his feet after being checked by the medical staff on the field. He appeared shaky at first, then walked off the field with a towel over his head. ... Bengals receiver Chris Henry wasn't sure whether he'd play again this season after he broke his arm during a victory over the Ravens. Henry broke his left forearm just above the wrist when he was tackled by cornerback Fabian Washington after a 20-yard reception. Henry's back hit the ground and Washington landed on top of him. Henry said he won't know his status for the rest of the season until he sees a specialist Monday.
