I've just returned from the DFL Meet the Candidate forum here in Rochester. All 10 DFL candidates were in attendance.

The format was unique. Rather than the usual "lecture to the audience," each candidate presented their goals and objectives to small groups of 10 to 12. This gave us the opportunity to ask important questions to each candidate and get past any candidate jargon. I now have a much better sense of each candidate's ideas for the future of Minnesota.

Congratulations to the Olmsted County DFL for arranging this forum and for the innovative format. I hope that the Olmsted County Republicans will offer the same opportunity to meet each of their candidates.
