The Federal government wants to take control of 1/6 of our economy. Barack Obama has made it clear in past interviews that he wants to see nothing less than a single payer (Federal government) healthcare system.
Of course, he won’t get there “immediately”, as he had some hurdles at the time.

BOHICA TO-NIGHT!!
“House Democrats reached agreement Wednesday on key elements of a health care bill that would VASTLY ALTER America’s medical landscape, REQUIRING VIRTUALLY UNIVERSAL SIGN-UPS and establishing a NEW GOVERNMENT RUN INSURANCE OPTION for millions.”

Hold your horses everyone, I was watching NBC last night and it was very clear that they were going to take their time and make sure they did the right thing; Obama, “We will not rush into making a decision”, Kerry; “We will take all the time we need to make the right decision”, Reed; “There’s no reason to rush this, if our elected officials had taken time to evaluate the situation in the past, we wouldn’t be in this situation today”, Clinton; “We will do what’s right, when we decide it’s the right time”. See, nobody is rushing the Medical Insurance overhaul bill. Now settle down.

oops, my bad. They were talking about increasing troop levels in Afghanistan to win a war. I guess dithering is acceptable when American soldiers lives are at risk. But when we are talking about my insurance plan, then they will just keep ramming and smashing and stuffing it down our collective throats.

The govt cant even get take care of the billions in fraud in Medicare, they can’t even get H1N1 vacinations to s fraction og this nation. There is no way our govt can run a national health plan. obama needs to be replaced. He has not a clue how to run a nation.

‘‘(a) PROCUREMENT.—Contracts with urban Indian organizations entered into pursuant to this title shall be in accordance with all Federal contracting laws and regulations relating to procurement except that in the discretion of the Secretary, such contracts may be negotiated without advertising and need not conform to the provisions of sections 1304 and 3131 through 3133 of title 40,United States Code.
Can you say No-bid (which Obama says he opposes)
Why are they are separating out healthcare for American Indians Why? Are they not citizens and eligible for the public option in the government healthcare run program? Or is it because they want to control them? It sounds like a new department just to control a very small minority and keep them beheld to the government.

It is intuitively obvious that are legislatures are totally out of control on trying to solve the healthcare problems!
A 2,000 plus page convoluted document riddled with pointers to reference other laws sounds like a government takeover to me. What elected official is able to grasp this law or be able to help refine it. Will they know what they are really working with or voting on? How in the heck will it be implemented?
What will it cost you and your family? Will it make it easier for the healthcare industry or will it add extra burden?
It costs a bunch of money people;how much more will you be paying? Will it crater our healthcare industry? If it does not work where can we go for healthcare?
I think that our senators and representative should scrap what they have and start over. The risk of implementing what they have now is to great.
They should focus on separate bills that are smaller ,understandable and that bring home real savings. Something that can be implemented now instead of waiting until 2013. If we have a healthcare crisis then why wait until 2013 to implement changes. Lets not have the government takeover our healthcare system and ruin it.

“I think that our senators and representative should scrap what they have and start over.”
Good comments, however, I think the best cure would be that the politicians should scrap what we have then take nice long hikes.

The best cure folks is if we scrap these politicians in 2010 and let them know now that is going to happen. Starting with our own “non-reader” Timmy Walz. Obama needs to negotiate with a congress that has different stripes than his own.
