Yes; this just In:
More of the same old, same Old sowing Doubt & spreading Fear of the Unknown.
Such tactics may work on many of the Well-insured; but unfortunately that still leaves 15% of our people Uninsured, w. millions more Underinsured, & upwards of 44K dying annually to pay That price. [See/Google recent Harvard study re the latter U.S. “Oops.“]
Reed wants us to believe that much-needed reform will be a “Nightmare on Main Street! when in fact the really scary stuff happens daily to too many of our fellow Americans.
Contact your elected officials today—before Halloween—to encourage them to stay stron in support of healthcare reform With a public option.

When will Walz tell us that the bill includes public option AND a huuuuge medicaid expansion?
This politician from Wisconsin tells it straight to his constituents:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmoTtw9794A&feature;=player_embedded
When the costs of forced gov health care (which we will ALL END UP WITH soon enough if it passes) on top of the other state and federal taxes all kick in, how will frugal middle class people be able to afford their mortgages and other things they have been responsibly paying for????????
I would imagine a lot of us will have to sell our homes and lower our standard of living.
Which is after all, socialism.

What’s even scarier for the politicians if reform w/ public option doesn’t pass is that they lose a key political issue in the future.
Future campaign ad: “If you vote for my opponent, they will take your health care away.”
Funny, you can’t do that if you don’t hand over to the government your health care in the first place.
It’s been done with every entitlement so why will this be any different? Answer: It won’t.

WRONG!!!
Tim Walz is RIGHT about the Public Option.
Nor is the Government planning to TAKE OVER Health Care in this country. That would mean all hoapitals, clinics, Doctors, nurses, Lab Techs, Researchers, workers in the Health fields, down to the cafeteria and Hosekeepers, would be Federal Employees,
THAT“S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! So quit with the LIES!!!

Mrs. C I hope you are right. But Walz will not answer the simple question I have of him.
If the US government is willing (and they did) to hide research about a cancer cure (for over 25 years) then how can I or anyone else trust the government with my future healthcare. A lot of people are possibly dead becasue the research was not allowed by the DEA, NIDA, FDA.
I want a solution but the level of trust is not there and I am concerned that not only will the evil insurers do the same ole things but the government in their poor wisdom will make worse decisions and sometimes based on a boogeyman.

Madrick, The government sponsored a research project and the researcher found that cannabis cannabiods kill the cancer by not allowing blood vessels to form and affecting there immortality feature. 25 years later Dr. Guzman of Spain found the same result and was mad when he found out that the research had already been done. Spain folks also found out recently that the same chemicals killed protrate cancer. It has also been shown to kill other cancers and yes it acts as a pallative to the treatments from chemo.
Of course you probably do not believe me so look at the following site to see all the research in the health effects of cannabis.
BTW the feds still do not allow research that states a possible good outcome and the cannabis they do supply for research is very substandard/
http://medicalmarijuanapatient.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65
Also the media including the PB does not want to tell people either.
Cannabis is too much of a boogeyman and if you look Mr Anslinger lied about it in the early days to get it on the illegal list something about protects the white race. Look in the records for that BS.

Here’s how I see this working. They provide a public option to ‘keep the insurance companies honest’. The cost to insured is less than what insurance companies can offer. Public option becomes the only option for most. Expenses to public option become enormous. Fatty doesn’t get new hips. Public is outraged about substandard care.
I think this idea needs a little more work than just politicians grabbing onto a tired idea and holding on like pitbulls.

Of course Walz voted for the anti-constitutional government option. As Nancy Pelosi’s “Yes, Ma’am” from Minnesota’s first congressional district, it was his obligation to help deliver an overwhelming victory to his liege.
Walz’s health care forums were a charade from the start. Contrary to his disingenuous protestations, he never intended to “listen to all sides of the issue” before deciding how to vote, as he claimed. Walz is no centrist. He was, is and always will be just another tool of the Democrat Party of Socialism.

It’s too bad that the Democrats don’t think past the next election. Sure, you can force Medicare on everyone to get the evil insurance companies and their immoral 2% profit out of the picture; but you can’t force healthcare providers to take the unreasonable reimbursements. A few will, and those overcrowded clinics will be rewarded with even more patients to juggle. What corners will be cut so they can sustain a “moral” profit? Meanwhile, the Mayo Clinic and many others have already signaled that they cannot afford any new Medicare/Medicaid patients. Guess who gets the best healthcare when the dust settles? That’s right, the people who can afford to pay private practitioners or pay for private supplemental insurance. And who is still going to the emergency room for primary care? Those here illegally. So exactly what will the Obama administration accomplish by spending $900 billion on so-called reform?

jared, you left out a little something.
That’s 3/4 of all MASSACHUSETTS docs support “public option.”
Massachusetts, where their socialized medicine is bombing. BIG.
The Massachusetts “model” for health care reform is a FISCAL DISASTER that’s VERY SIMILAR to 0bamacare/Baucus.
But Massachusetts is ever ready to screw things up even more! Beacon Hill elites have a solution — a new payment system that will impose health care rationing:
Writing in the New England Journal of Medicine just last month in Sept, staff writer Dr. Robert Steinbrook said the state commission failed to address the choice issue head-on. Global payments would save money only if networks “LIMITED the volume of services, and DENIED certain requests from patients and providers,’’ among other measures, he wrote. “Since patient choice is such a sensitive issue, the commission waffled.’’
The commission waaaaffled.
But don’t woooorry, the politicians will figure this out later:
Sarah Iselin, head of the state Division of Health Care Finance and Policy and co-chair of the payment commission, said the panel understood the importance of addressing the effect of its recommendations on patient choice, but “felt these issues could be FIGURED OUT LATER BY A BOARD” that would be created to oversee the transition to a new payment system.
WHATWHATWHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
A bureaucratic “panel” is going to decide who does and doesn’t get health care because the state CAN’T AFFORD IT’S AMBITIOUS health care agenda!! !!!!!
Where have I heard this before?
hmmmm...death panel?
I guess Sarah Palin was dead on (no pun intended)
DEAD ON with her outline of “death panels.”

Jeez, what a fast talking salesman.
He said he wants to pass this ASAP. He wants to pass it “today.”
Around 8:30, and after he blamed Booosh at least 4 times for doing nothing over 8 years, and then continually saying how brilliant and “engaged” 0bomba is, he said among other thing:
This country has the WORST medical care/outcome of any country.
The most expensive.
Then he said
We have 50 million uninsured.
FIFTY MILLION UNINSURED!!!
Fifty million.
He sounds just like a fast talking (not my first choice of wording) salesman of anything broken.
That number is actually 13-14 million not FIFTY.

Jared please! 23% strongly favor and 40% strongly oppose the health insurance reform bill.
I hate to cut and paste, but....
“The first question finds that 46% favor the creation of a government-sponsored non-profit health insurance option that people could choose instead of a private health insurance plan. Thirty-seven percent (37%) are opposed.
The second question asked about the creation of a public option if it encouraged companies to drop private health insurance coverage for their workers. Given that possibility, support for the public option falls to 29%, and opposition rises to 58%.”
Trust me, this WILL encourage companies to drop their insurance. 8% payroll penalty versus 18-22% cost of insurance for every salary dollar. In addition, the cost for private insurance will increase at a significantly increased rate according to the CBO, Price Waterhouse, and every other study you will read. Companies will bail by the thousands and the government will get a much bigger bill than they expect, and much more power than we expect.

True the public option probably is the holy grail for many Americans.
Without detail on what it would cost, who would be covered, what services would be offered, etc, heck, what’s not to like?
The reality of how to implement a public option effectively has eluded the prototypes thus far.
Patient quotas, price controls, limited access and black markets have plagued these in existence.
Instead of being creative, we’re taking the beaten path that has numerous known shortcomings.

Jared, just did. NBC/Wall Street Journal report from October 22-25:
http://www.pollingreport.com/health.htm
“From what you have heard about Barack Obama’s health care plan, do you think his plan is a good idea or a bad idea? If you do not have an opinion either way, please just say so.”
Good Idea - 38%
Bad Idea - 42%
No Opinion - 16%
Unsure - 4%
From USA Today/Gallup, October 16-19
“As you may know, the White House and congressional Democrats are moving toward passing a health care bill, though the details of the final bill are still being worked out. Based on what you know or have read, do you think you will support the final health care bill, does it depend on some of the decisions that have yet to be made about the bill, or do you think you will oppose the final health care bill?”
Support - 25%
Depends - 33%
Oppose - 33%
Unsure - 3%
So Jared, if your argument is that over 50% of the 38% or 25% who ACTUALL SUPPORT the bill want a public option, then I’d probably agree with you.
