Why, who do you think you are. Your government knows what’s best for you peasants. All you have to do is get your butte to work and earn a living so the IRS can confiscate the collectives fare share to redistribute to low life welfare entitlement parasite losers, oops less fortunate. Face it the mass’s have mandated all this with there vote last November. You loose buddy. Spoils to the winners, Blacks, gays, commies, and government worker wanna be’s. You need mind your own bussiness and not worry about things so much. After all Healthcare Reform Pelosi style will be shoved down your throats and thats that. It doesn’t matter if it’s not in the Constitution and is not in the welfare clause as one of the 18 enumerated powers. The Democrats have the majority and run the show. Your gonna get all those things you mentioned and like it. Heck 10.2 % could be worse.

“We now have an administration that has appointed dozens of “Czars” who develop policy for control of much of our economic system.”
- Jerry
Since Jerry hasn’t been paying attention, these US presidential “Czar” appointments have been going on for almost a century by both dems and republicans. Bush II had 14 of these. So, stop with the attempt at scare tactics.
“Soon, a new house, new car, guaranteed high paying job, paid vacations, and child care will become “rights.”
- Jerry
That statement is so blatantly fantasiful and void of constructive reason it deserves no comment.
“School children sing and chant his name!” - Jerry
(sigh)
“What was recently reported to be 46 million uninsured is now reported to be 36 million. (Must be those alien abductions again.)” - Jerry
Let me guess, Jerry is not among the 36 million americans who’s primary health care comes from emergency rooms, health care we all end up paying for one way or another.
And lastly. Jerry has misquoted the great dem JFK.
That was “Ask not” not “It’s not”.

“Bush II had 14 of these.”
~Obama has 40. A little over the top, especially since the “Safe Schools Czar” is a member of NAMBLA
Soon under the Democrats you will also be able to marry a chicken. Now our only hope is that God’s wrath is swift and merciful on the citizens of the new Soddom and Gomorrah

It would be nice to keep the debate from turning into right-wing man/chicken fantacies.
Even the folks in NAMBLA can probably control themselves better than a puritan conservative.

It would be really nice if people could discuss subjects (of all different kinds) on these opinion pages without it turning into right vs. left, Dems vs. Repubs, atheist vs. non-atheist, anti-gubbmint, anti-Obama, homophobic rant rant rant.

Housing is already a right, and it matters not if you are illegal or a US citizen.
Fannie Mae’s affordable housing for all, has posted a $18.9 billion Q3 loss and taped the US Treasury:
http://www.reuters.com/article/businessNews/idUSTRE5A464620091105?feedType=RSS&feedName;=businessNews&rpc;=76
Bank of America doesn’t care whether one is legally in this country or not, they’ll provide you with a bank account and all the credit you want.
And 0bomba is setting us up for another round of the same financial devastation that his good friend Franklin Raines helped to built up at Fannie Mae under the plan set in motion by Carter and Clinton.

So many nasty comments. Shame on you. I wrote a letter to the editor, in fact I write quite a few, and the last time, recived a very nasty and intimadating letter in my snail mail. I reported it to the Post Bulletin, and to the police. Be careful what you do and say! Never threaten. You haven’t yet, so please do not do so.

Employing “czars” isn’t the issue.
The issue is how they are being used.
Advisor or policymaker?
BO’s cabinet is collecting dust. They are too conservative for BO’s puppet masters.
BO skips his Cabinet (approved by Congress) and only deals with his czars.

I suppose if I had a negative critique about a republican, it would raise my credibility in your eyes.

Typical libbies attack on anyone who they do not agree with.
When the discussion is the hecklers, and not the issue, they are defeating the discussion of the issue.
They have nothing to contribute, are complelely wrong on the issue at hand and are not interested in constructive any purpose.
They’re intention is to disrupt, agitate and use the Alinsky scree to defeat democracy and discussion.

To madrik: Both sides twist the facts to meet whatever requirement they seek.
Soundbites and print peices in news reports can make a person sound like a wise man or a fool. Just look at Micheal Moore or Rush Limbaugh’s work.
Statistical information can come from questions worded in a way that will make the desired outcome almost guaranteed. I’ve had phone survey people repeat the question slowly so I could understand what it really was they were asking (from Democrats, Republicans and Independents as well as hot topic issue organizations).
Bottom line, a person is entitled to an opinion in our country. I can opt to agree or disagree from there. I can also be a devil’s advocate for the sake of discussion or to open a new set of eyes to why diversity works - or doesn’t.

School children are supposed to like the President. All Presidents. Heck, I sang the praises of Ronny “Kill The Economy” Reagan and George “Single Term” Bush when I was in school even though they sucked as leaders of our nation and destroyed a variety of things dear to those I loved. But I wrote them letters because they were the presidents and that was a cool job.
So lay off the school children and be happy they’re singing the praises of leaders rather than Post Bulletin commenters or talking heads on Faux News.

Jerry’s not a happy camper I guess. Unfortunately, his letter doesn’t really help the debate.
It would probably have been more accurate to state that “President Obama believes America is great because of government and not its citizens” and leave it at that.
Does anyone have a video clip of the president heaping unqualified praise upon free markets as a solution to anything?

Lyrics
“There’s a sound of Change
Blowing in the wind
It’s a sound that started long ago
By those who dare to dream
Fighting against the loss
With a passion of hope of better days
They had a dream
They had hope
for a friend to BRING THIS NATION TOGETHER AS ONE...”

Can Mr. Nau provide one shred of evidence that Obama or anyone else is tinkering with the constitution? And what is the relevance of this tired complaint about a “right” to healthcare? I don’t care if it is enshrined in the Constitution as a right or if it is merely enshrined in common ordinary legislation - the fact is that providing decent healthcare for its citizens is just something that a mature and humane civilization does. It seems that the right wing in this country (the ones who have a comfortable pension or nest egg) wants the law of the land to be the law of the jungle. Everyone for himself. And as so many other people with actual brains have pointed out, the whole discussion about czars is off-base, not to mention ignorant.

0bama shredding the Constitution?
Oooh how we can count the ways......
Keep in mind that Barack Hussein Oboma is a “Constitutional attorney.”
My top two favorite 0boma Constitution breakers:
1) 0boma says on Chicago Public Radio WBEZ.FM the Constitution is
“flawed without redistribution Of wealth”
and now his redistribution goal being implemented.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck
2) 0boma’s THIRTY ONE (31) “Shadow Government” czars.
Especially the “pay czar”.
A president does have authority to name presidential advisers as he alone may see fit, and pay them within the tax payer funds allotted to him by Congress.
HOWEVER, presidential advisers are to have NO, zipo, nada executive power at all, and the president has NO AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER to create executive power out of thin air merely by naming some presidential adviser- czar.
Such as the “pay czar.”
Had 0bama eeeeever attended a “Constitutional law” class, he might have learned this.........

There’s another conundrum there (hmmm or something else??)
Why, when 0bama as claimed in his book he openly sought out communist teachers;
Why, when 0boma’s father, mentors, many of his czars, his minister of 20 years are all communist/socialist;
WHY, would a self proclaimed/mentored supporter of communism choose to study “Constitutional law”?
