Austin's public TV station to host H1N1 discussion

KSMQ-TV of Austin is planning a one-hour program Wednesday night to discuss with health-care experts and local officials the H1N1 influenza pandemic.

What: KSMQ public TV, of Austin, is hosting a one-hour program on H1N1 flu.

Part of the public TV station's "Health Connections" series, the townhall-meeting discussion will be led by host Stephanie Passingham, with a live studio audience to ask the panel questions regarding the flu, according to a KSMQ news release.

The program, scheduled to air at 6 p.m. Wednesday, will feature a discussion about various rumors surrounding H1N1 and information to try to dispel myths about the new influenza strain.

Viewers will get tips on how to avoid exposure to the virus and precautions to take to live a more healthful lifestyle.
