Musical guests for the upcoming performance haven't been finalized and are typically announced closer to the date of the show. Musicians appearing on the show so far this season have included Roseanne Cash, Neko Case and Wilco.
A Prairie Home Companion is heard on almost 600 public radio stations nationwide, with a weekly audience of more 4.3 million listeners.
In September, Keillor received treatment at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester after suffering a minor stroke. In October he performed at a benefit concert for the State Theatre in Zumbrota.
"Every time I go down to Rochester and I walk into the Gonda Building or walk into the clinic building, I just feel this enormous sense of relief," Keillor told the Post-Bulletin in October. "It's an amazing institution that combines a kind of small-town kindness and sweetness of disposition with tremendous expertise."
Donna Drews, the civic center's executive director, is glad to have "A Prairie Home Companion" back.
"We did extremely well with the last show -- we sold out," she said.
