Initial aromas in this quadruple ale are numerous in sheer quantity. Not only included are the normal roasted malt, nuts, light floral, brown sugar, smoke and spices of quadruple ales, but also hints of dates, plums, prunes and raisins dance on the nose.
The dark fruit takes the place of a typical quadruple ales' coffee and dark chocolate notes.
The high alcohol brings in a bitter sweetness that is balanced perfectly by this beers naturally saltiness.
Alcohol is 10.5 percent by volume.
