MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Swine flu vaccine is in high demand around the country. But officials say only half of the stock of H1N1 FluMist vaccine was used up during Fargo-Moorhead's first public vaccination clinic.

Officials administered 750 of the 1,500 available doses Thursday at the clinic at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Fargo Cass Public Health spokeswoman Theresa Orecchia says officials are surprised that more people didn't show up. A clinic for North Dakota residents is scheduled Saturday at Fargo North High School.

The remaining doses in Clay County will be given to area health care providers to distribute among targeted groups, which include young children, caregivers for infants, and health care and emergency personnel.
