Clinics to provide H1N1 vaccinations are planned in Winona and Houston County this week.
The two Winona H1N1 vaccination clinics are:
• From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, first floor, Winona Clinic, 859 Mankato Ave., Winona. Only for pregnant women, persons living with or providing care to infants younger than 6 months, children 6 months to 4 years old, children 5 to 18 with medical conditions that increase their risk for complications, and health-care personnel who have contact with patients.
• From 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Winona County Community Health Services, 60 West Third St., Winona. For healthy children ages 5 to 9. Nasal vaccine will be provided for kids 5 to 9, and limited injectable doses for kids with chronic conditions preventing nasal vaccine.
In Houston County:
• The health department says school-based H1N1 vaccination clinics will start Thursday and continue next week. Vaccinations will go to the youngest students first; older children will get the vaccine as more arrives.
• Walk-in clinics will take place in Caledonia at public health, 611 Vista Drive, for children 6 months to 4 years, pregnant women, caregivers and others who have close contact with children younger than 6 months, and children 5 to 18 years old with underlying health conditions.
