Edward "Bud" A. Kerwin -- Holyoke, Minn.

CARLTON, Minn. -- Edward "Bud" Allen Kerwin, age 83, formerly of Holyoke, Minn., passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton.

He was born in 1926 in Minneapolis, to Edward L. and Nellie (Quenroe) Kerwin, and moved to Duluth at the age of 4. Ed worked at U.S. Steel during WWII and then worked as a truck driver most of his life. He was a member of Teamsters Union 364. Ed moved to Holyoke in 1976.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; one son, Steven Kerwin; one brother, George Kerwin; and one sister, June Miller. He is survived by one son, Sanford "Butch" (Kathy) Kerwin of Kasson; four daughters, Sherriel Wold of International Falls, Minn., Susan Dahl of Owatonna, Sheila (Dale) Lamb of Holyoke, and Shirley Lica of Austin; one brother, Quinell (Rose) Kerwin of Rochester; two sisters, Mary Ann Lee of Rochester and Ramona Christianson of Dodge Center; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 26, from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Nelson Funeral Care, officiated by Chaplain Rosemary Tobin. Music provided by soloist, Butch Kerwin. Honorary pallbearers are Ed's 13 grandchildren. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship room.
