ADAMS -- David Joseph Landherr, age 74 of Adams, died Oct. 29, 2009, at the Cross Home in Adams.

He was born Dec. 18, 1934, in Adams, to Alios and Martha (Loecher) Landherr.

David was one of the first people to move into the Adams Group Home, living there for 27 years. In June, David moved to the Cross Home in Adams.

David loved to be outside, watching the farmers, blowing bubbles, and watching the steam trains. David was really good at puzzles. He enjoyed getting a sucker as a treat. He also loved cats.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with Father James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Adams. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a 4 p.m. Rosary. Visitation will also be for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

David is survived by his brother, Roman Landherr of Taopi; sisters and brother-in-law, Germaine Lepird of Estherville, Iowa, Rosemary (Roy) Shephard of Mankato, Minn., Veronica Landherr of Bloomington, Minn., and Theresa Holum of Wichita Falls, Kan.; nieces and nephews; aunt, Marie Dante of Austin; and close friends, David, Rose Ann and Ray.
