ROCHESTER -- Karinca J. "Karen" Cyzon, 66, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in Lake City.
Karen was born March 10, 1949, in Minneapolis to John (Ruth Groves) Cyson. She worked for Mayo Clinic as a Unit Secretary for 18 years at Rochester Methodist and Saint Marys Hospitals. Karen enjoyed gourmet cooking and eating. She also enjoyed sewing and collecting cherished mementos.
Karen is survived by her son, John A. (Ceugant Scully) Cyzon of Minneapolis; two brothers, Timothy Cyson of Champlin, Minn., and James Cyson of Minneapolis; a sister, Ruth Ann "Tudi" (Daryl) Pitman of Spokane, Wash.; her stepmother, Edith Cyson of Albert Lea; and a dear cousin, Mary (Dan) Rothenbuhler of Boise, Idaho. She is survived by her many loving and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Greg Cyson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, Rochester. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
A private family burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, at a later date.
