CHATFIELD -- The memorial graveside service for Jane Doucette, 78, of Chatfield, will be Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Chatfield Cemetery, with Rev. David Beckstrom officiating.

Jane died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at the Golden Living Center East in Rochester.

Jane Carol Johnson was born March 6, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Lloyd and Caroline (Deuter) Johnson. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in Cannon Falls. She married Curtis Amundson, and they were later divorced. She married Donald Doucette on Feb. 9, 1964; he died Aug. 17, 2000.

Janed lived in Cannon Falls, Chatfield, and Wisconsin Dells, then moved back to Chatfield in 1987. She worked as a clerk in the local grocery store.

Jane was a member of Chatfield Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed working and watching TV.

Survivors include a son, Jerry, of Colorado; a stepdaughter, Denise Doucette of San Francisco; two stepsons, John Doucette of Reno, Nev., and Robert Doucette of Maui, Hawaii; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a neice, Sharon Harris, and a nephew, Jeff Casey, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; two sons, Lee and Donald; and a sister, Lorraine Casey.

Riley Funeral Home of Chatfield is in charge of the arrangements.
