Iris May Evjen -- Clarksville, Tenn.

ROCHESTER -- Iris May Evjen, 87, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Rochester, died of Alzheimer's on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at the Montgomery Care and Rehab Center in Clarksville.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1921. She was married to Owen Evjen on June 30, 1940. Owen died in December of 1995.

Iris is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Tony) Piano of Bradenton, Fla., Darlene (Peter) Tocco of Hubertus, Wis., and Pamela (Jim) Bridges of Clarksville; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Sherry (Floyd) Routledge of Eyota; and a brother, Lyle (Barbara) Wheeler of Rochester; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, with the Reverend Lester Horntvedt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday, from noon to 1 p.m., at Ranfranz and Vine. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
