CANNON FALLS -- Nancy Jean Bentzin, age 56, of Cannon Falls, died Sunday morning, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home, surrounded by family.

Nancy was born in Austin on Nov. 20, 1952, the daughter of Gerald and Deloris (Kneeland) Raschke.

Nancy has resided in Cannon Falls since 1996. She worked as head of the dietary department at the Cannon Falls Medical Center for 12 years. She was an animal lover and an avid gardener. Nancy enjoyed making stained glass, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is very loved and will be greatly missed!

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Deloris Rashcke; husband, Dennis Bentzin; and brother, Michael Raschke. She is survived by her son, Dennis Bentzin; her daughters, Dena Erickson, Dacia, Donia and Shannon Bentzin, and Paula Morton; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Mackenzie, Jace, A'Janae, Jaiyana, Jeriun, Liana and Jadrien; and her dog, Pikachu.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
