ST. PAUL -- Imagine a home that generates as much energy as it consumes.
That house is a reality at the Minnesota State Fair.
The Eco Experience exhibit includes a 2,200-square-foot home that has solar heating, a green roof and LED lighting.
Visitors can see the Eco House when the fair opens this Thursday. They can also climb a "trash mountain" and walk inside the base of a wind turbine at the Eco Experience in the Progress Center.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has helped coordinate the exhibit along with utilities, businesses and nonprofit groups.
