MINNEAPOLIS -- Animal control officials have rescued 30 Shih Tzus from a Minneapolis home.

Police said the dogs had never been outside and the home smelled of urine and feces.

Minneapolis Animal Control served a warrant recently after neighbors complained about barking and odors.

The dogs have a range of health problems, including one that can't close its mouth because its jaw is broken.

Investigators said a 74-year-old woman ran a Web site advertising dogs for sale, but she did not have a license to sell animals.

Prosecutors are expected to charge her soon with animal cruelty and exceeding the maximum number of animals allowed in a home. Some of the dogs may be up for adoption in a few weeks.
