The Post-Bulletin has hired five new employees in sales, news and advertising.

They are:

• LeAnn Fischer is an inside sales/customer service employee for the Austin Post-Bulletin. A Dexter native, Fischer received her degree in organizational management communication from Concordia University in St. Paul.

• Ryan Stotts has been hired as special sections editor in the advertising department. Stotts has experience as a reporter and writer, and he previously worked at the La Crosse Tribune.

• James Palan has been hired as an account executive in the advertising department. He was formerly a personal banker with Associated Bank, and he has a degree in communications from Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

• Heather Green has been hired as a classified salesperson. She formerly worked for West Corp. in Omaha, Neb.

• Jonathan Wood has been hired as a part-time copy editor. Wood is the editor of the Echo newspaper at Rochester Community and Technical College, where he is a student.

Local...as inside the Rochester city limits? The PB circulation goes out furthur than that. Dexter is local....and it didn’t say where the rest were from. Only where they had worked.

Harley: Probably in order to toot their own horn a bit. When other papers nationwide are closing the PB is adding people. Must be doing something right.
