MINNEAPOLIS -- A Hennepin County judge is calling fallen auto mogul Denny Hecker's financial disclosures in his divorce trial "woefully short."

Judge Jay Quam is trying to determine whether to require Hecker to pay $7,500 a month to his wife of 15 years, Tamitha Hecker, the mother of their two children, 14 and 8.

After reviewing Hecker's submissions, Quam is now ordering Hecker to submit sworn and detailed testimony about his financial status.

Hecker claims he doesn't have the means to pay the money even if the judge ordered him to do so, so last month the judge ordered him to submit a detailed accounting of his finances.

Quam says Hecker claims to have received $230,000 since his bankruptcy filing, but when it comes to how it was spent, Hecker's "response is better than nonexistent, but not by much."
