CORRECTION RAN FRIDAY (12/28/01)

The amount of bail for Jeremy Michael Ondler, 24, was incorrect on Page 4B Wednesday. His bail was set at $5,000.

----------------------------------------------------------- Felony charges

Jeremy Michael Ondler, 24, no address, charged with third- and fourth-degree assault for allegedly assaulting a police officer at a Rochester bar on Dec. 19. Bail is set at $50,000, and he returns to court Jan. 16.

Jeff Scott Nygren, 23, 2537 Elmcroft Drive S.W., Rochester, charged with fifth-degree controlled substance crime for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamines on Dec. 18. He also is charged with fleeing a peace officer and driving after cancellation. Bail is set at $2,000, and he returns to court Jan. 26.

Steven Allen Peterson, 42, Goodhue, charged with third-degree assault and misdemeanor domestic assault. He is accused of assaulting a woman on Dec. 13. Bail is set at $1,500, and his next court appearance is Jan. 2.

Kathleen Caswell Rockvam, 39, 2723 Melrose St. S.E., Rochester, charged with fifth-degree controlled substance for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor second-degree driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia. She has been released on her own recognizance and returns to court Jan. 16.

Benjamin Aaron Nichols, 44, Zumbrota, charged with offering a forged check on March 12 and solicitation of a juvenile to commit a crime. He is accused of passing forged computer-generated payroll checks against an account that didn't exist. He is to appear in court Jan. 30.

Viktoria Alexandria Nyari, 24, 606 30th St. N.E., Rochester, charged with possession of anhydrous ammonia in an improper container. She is accused of having the substance, which can be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, in a duffel bag at a Rochester home in January. She is to appear in court Jan. 28.

Julie Marie Krom, 22, 2466 Highview Lane S.W., Rochester, charged with possession of anhydrous ammonia in an improper container. She is accused of aiding in having the ammonia in a duffel bag in a Rochester residence in January. She is to appear in court Jan. 28.

Edwin Jesus Velez-Morales, 19, 235 12th St. N.W., Rochester, charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He is accused of raping a teen-age girl during a get-together at her residence in November 2000. He is to appear in court Jan. 28.

Joseph Michael Greer, 34, Zumbrota, charged with aiding in offering a forged payroll check written against an account that didn't exist. He is to appear in court Jan. 28.

Duane David Gloege, 43, Crystal, Minn., charged with two counts of theft of merchandise from a Rochester business. He is to appear in court Jan. 28.

Juvenile felony charges

A 17-year-old Rochester boy is charged with second-degree assault and making terroristic threats stemming from an incident Dec. 18 in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue N.W. The teen is accused of assaulting another person with the butt of a gun and threatening to stab him with a knife. The teen is being held at the Many Rivers Juvenile Detention Center.

Felony dispositions

Six counts of offering a forged check -- Bethany Marie Mount, 20, 501 Third St. N.W., Rochester, sentenced Nov. 19, 2001, by Judge Joseph F. Wieners to pay $200 and 240 days in jail, to be served concurrently with other charges, for check forgery.

Possession of burglary tools -- Jose David Talamantes, 21, 417 Third Ave. S.E., No. 2, Rochester, sentenced Nov. 15, 2001, by Judge Joesph F. Chase to pay $35 and 19 months in prison, to be served concurrently with other charges, in connection with the theft of a car stereo and compact discs.

Fleeing a peace officer -- Hoang Muc Danh, 32, 913 First Ave. N.W., Rochester, sentenced Nov. 29, 2001, by Judge Joseph F. Wieners to 18 months in prison with credit for time served.

Terroristic threats -- Frank Alden Hanson, 25, 1618 Marion Road, No. 50, Rochester, sentenced Nov. 29, 2001, by Judge Joseph F. Wieners to pay $50 and 90 days in jail.

Offering a forged check, giving false information to police -- Rhonda Lynn Lawstuen, 30, Zumbrota, sentenced Nov. 21, 2001, by Judge Joseph F. Wieners to pay $50 and 75 days in jail, with credit for time served, and pay $236 in restitution to Sally Beauty Salon.

Theft -- Jason Bradley McDaniel, 21, Fountain, sentenced Nov. 29, 2001 by Judge Joseph Wieners to pay $1,025 fine, pay $4,150 in restitution to Merchants National Bank in Winona, and 30 days in jail or electronic home monitoring for fraudulent use of an ATM machine.
