You can learn a great deal listening to college students from every region of the state, across all sectors of post-secondary education. This year, in meetings across Minnesota, they've been telling me about the choices they have made, the challenges they face and, specifically, what they think Gov. Mark Dayton and the Legislature can do to help them meet those challenges.
Each student had a story to tell. One told me her choice is between working full-time, no debt and bad grades, or working less and getting good grades but leaving college with debt that will stay with her for years. She hopes she is making the right choice.
