Whom can you trust? Sadly, it appears that far too manyof Minnesota's most vulnerable citizensare being betrayed by the very people who should be doing everything in their power toprotect them.

A sobering package in Saturday's Post-Bulletin described thegrowing problem of elder abuse and financial exploitation in Olmsted County. It's gotten so bad that several Olmsted County agencies are teaming up to fund a part-time investigator dedicated to investigatingthis kind of abuse — hopefully, leading to prosecution of the perpetrators.
