Bradley House: According to the Chatfield Democrat, Rochester's Bradley House hotel was "the neatest, most comfortable and best conducted public house in the interior of the State." The log hotel was built in 1855 on the east end of a log bridge on College Street, now Fourth Street Southeast, near the current Government Center. The hotel burned down in 1883.
