Jacob Schaefer poured in 35 points on Tuesday as Rochester Lourdes rode to a 66-52 boys basketball win over Lake City.
The Eagles also got 16 points from guard Ryan Braun.
Lourdes led 32-23 at halftime en route to stretching its record to 4-0. The Tigers, who are missing two starters, are 2-5.
Lourdes coach Jim Daly said Schaefer's final point total surprised him — kind of.
"I was a little surprised that he had that many points when I looked at the scoring book," Daly said of the 6-foot-8 senior center. "But he can score in bunches. He's a load (down low)."
Daly was also pleased with the play of Braun, who like Schaefer, is a senior.
"Ryan really worked hard in the off-season," Daly said. "Tonight he had some offensive rebounds early and he really came to play."
Lake City got a big scoring night from 6-1 senior forward Reid Lundell. He finished with 26 points.
