THEILMAN -- The funeral for Theodore "Ted" I. Evers will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Theilman, with the Revs. James Russell and Paul Evers co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter &; Paul Catholic Cemetery-Conception, rural Kellogg.
Mr. Evers, 73, of rural Theilman, a lifelong farmer in Wabasha County, died early Friday morning (Aug. 8, 2003) at his home.
Theodore Ignatius Evers was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Highland Township, Wabasha County. He attended rural Wabasha County Schools and Plainview Community Schools. He married Beverly A. Funke on June 15, 1955, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, rural Kellogg. Ted was a lifelong farmer in Highland and Oakwood townships of Wabasha County. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Theilman. He served as a clerk of Oakwood Township for 13 years and was a former member of Theilman Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed carpentry work and as a young man won several awards in carpentry.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Patricia (Gary) Holderbecker of Millville, Minn., Janice Holst of Faribault, Minn., Linda (Robert) Dose and Rosemary (Robert) Hartz, both of Lake City, and Jacqueline (Daryl) Schreiber and Mary Ann (James) Sheehan, both of Plainview; three sons, Randy (Cheryl) and Richard (Marie), both of Theilman, and Gary (Jodi) of Plainview; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Klees of Minneapolis and Mary (Joseph) Wallerich of Wabasha; and one brother, Michael of Plymouth.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, Plainview, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. A prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
