The Mantorville Theatre Company will present its summer melodrama, “A Curse Comes Home” (or “Professor Pembroke’s Predicament”) on the group’s YouTube channel starting Friday.

The show is a “jazzed-up table read” the company hopes will “leave you booing, hissing, sighing, and cheering like you were actually there!”

In the show, an archaeologist brings home a sarcophagus containing the remains of the mummified king Ramma Lamma Ding Dong, which is in turn trailing a grave-robbing thief after precious treasure. And as we know, all good sarcophagi are cursed -- placing the adventurer and his family in even more peril.

“A Curse Comes Home,” written by Greg Miller, will be available to viewers through June 28.

Viewers can find the company’s YouTube channel at and click the “Subscribe” button under the notifications bell in the top right corner to be alerted when the play goes live.
