A local art organization will show original paintings of Rochester’s doctors, nurses, and other essential workers in its first exhibit since coronavirus necessitated city-wide shutdowns.

“Lifeline: Portraits of Rochester Essential Workers” opens July 1 at the Rochester Art Center (40 Civic Center Dr. SE).

The art center asked 18 local artists to create portraits of nominated essential workers to be exhibited when the building reopens.
