Two Rochester artists blend art and science in a Red Wing showing.

Steven M. Anderson and Eric Anderson have both joined the Red Wing gallery’s “Art and Science” exhibition.

The show features work from area artists, scientists, and a few participants in between.

Steven M. Anderson is the senior scientific glassblower at Mayo Clinic, where he customizes glassware for researchers. The Anderson Center has several of his personal, artistic pieces on display.

Eric Anderson used Artificial Intelligence to generate images for the show.

Neither artist is otherwise related to the Anderson Center.

The show is open through Aug. 8, Wednesday through Saturday. A free artist reception with refreshments will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, July 17, primarily outside with refreshments under tents. Staggered viewings of the exhibit will be available.

The Anderson Center has put social distancing measures in place, including reduced capacity, hand sanitizer available to visitors, and one-way traffic in narrow hallways.
